Welcome to this space, a space where human selfishness is pushed aside and the voice of other species becomes amplified and prioritised.

It is human nature to put off actions that will render results that might only be seen in the future, and this has been the case with climate change and environmental issues. Although scientists, academics, environmental humanists and activists have been vocal about the devastating impact that humanity, through the Anthropocene, has had on the Earth and her ecosystems, the world's corporations continue to look away. Using up all of the Earth's fossil fuel, partaking in actions which lead to excessive CO2 emissions, deforestation, using insecticides and pesticides, water wastage, pollution, and neglecting to look after our fellow fauna and flora Earthly siblings has led to irreversible damages that will effect all living and nonliving organisms. This slow violence (Nixon 2011) will lead to a disappearing of ecosystems and a dwindling of biodiversity, but it is up to us as humans, the only species that can make change, to use creative methods, like this website, to catch the very-short attention span of humanity to ensure that we act fast on our environmental actions.

Through this website, I invite you to become familiar with the fauna and flora that I have become familiar with over the month of October 2020. There is also a written essay which will provide more information about what is is that is happening in our ecosystems.
